Ottawa.Marketing exists for one kind of business: trades and home-service companies working in the City of Ottawa, many of which have customers in both official languages. We plan and run their marketing and give their owners straight business advice. We are not a contractor; we never install, repair or service anything, and we don't sell leads.
The company behind the site
Ottawa.Marketing belongs to the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies. The group is Canadian, with its headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia, and it serves clients across the country.
- Sedighi.ca is Ali's own consulting company, covering growth, marketing and technology work for clients. Trades.Agency, HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, Conv.ca and BusinessConsulting.ca are all its brands; see Trades.Agency for the trades side.
- SAZ.ca (the name stands for Strategy & Acceleration Zone) is where the group's Canadian strategy, AI and revenue-acceleration consulting happens. Ali started it and remains Founder & Managing Partner, with Sedighi.ca providing the strategic leadership.
Within the group, this site sits in the Trades.Agency family, which is where the group's trades marketing lives. Plans and pricing follow Trades.Agency; our own pricing page summarises them.

How we work with Ottawa trades
Our approach comes down to five habits.
- Geography first. Ottawa's wards cover dense downtown streets and long rural roads. We start by agreeing which wards are worth your time; the areas page shows how we think about each one.
- Two languages, two sets of numbers. If French makes sense for you, it runs as its own campaign with its own tracking, so you can judge it on results.
- Honesty about what we don't do. We don't write French copy in-house. We recommend professional French copywriters or certified translators for that, and we brief them carefully. We don't give legal, licensing or tax advice either.
- Your accounts, your data. Your website, domain, Google Business Profile and ad accounts are in your name.
- Plain reporting. Calls, texts, emails, cost per lead and booked jobs, in language an owner can read in five minutes.
What our proof is, and isn't
The case studies we publish are results from our HVAC work, because that's where the group's portfolio began. CombiBoiler.ca reached 300% ROI, and HeatLand, with over 850 SEO articles behind it, recorded a 300% rise in leads over six months. These aren't plumbing, roofing or electrical results, and we won't present them that way. What they show is a method that transfers: careful targeting, useful content and honest measurement. The results page goes into which parts carry over.
What a first project usually looks like
Most Ottawa clients start with a short diagnostic rather than a big plan. We read your Google Business Profile, your website on a phone, your call records and, if you run them, your ad accounts. Then we write down the three changes most likely to bring in more booked jobs in the next 90 days.
Typical findings for Ottawa trades:
- a profile listing the whole city as a service area while the jobs come from four wards;
- a "Français" link that leads nowhere useful;
- ads running at night when nobody answers;
- strong reviews that never appear on the website.
None of these needs a large budget to fix. We'd rather you see a quick, honest improvement than sign up for a year on a promise.
Our positioning, in one paragraph
Ottawa.Marketing does digital marketing and business consulting for Ottawa's trades and home-service companies, and for similar firms elsewhere in Canada. We aren't a contractor of any kind: no installs, no repairs, no service calls. We help you get found, get called and grow in a city that searches in two languages. If that's what you need, the contact page explains how to reach us by call, text or email, and what to include.
Frequently asked questions
Who owns Ottawa.Marketing?
It's part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies and sits in the group's Trades.Agency family. The group is Canadian and headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Who will I actually talk to?
A senior strategist. Ali Sedighi, MBA, leads the work, and there's no sales team or junior account rep standing between you and the person planning your marketing.
Are you a contractor?
No. We don't install, repair or service anything. We market trades businesses and advise their owners on growth.
Why should an Ottawa business work with a Vancouver-based team?
Marketing work lives in Google, ad accounts and your website, all of which we can see from anywhere. What matters is that we study Ottawa search results ward by ward and answer quickly by phone, text or email. Consultations can also be by video call or in person.
